COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

Commercial construction was the origin of SCI when founded by Gene Schnippel. During the past half-century over 400 commercial projects have been completed ranging from service stations, convenience marts, and shopping centers to multi-story motels, apartment complexes and office buildings.

In addition to conventional construction we also offer Pre-Engineered Buildings. Because we strive to provide excellent service on every project we undertake, this approach has brought us many valued and loyal clients who have returned time and time again for new services. Nearly 70% of our contracts are performed for repeat clients and direct client referrals. Customer satisfaction is our top priority.

INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION

Experience is primarily composed of length of time in the industry and the applicability and similarity if other work projects, With over 20 years industrial experience we have completed a vast array of industrial projects ranging from concrete press foundations, metal buildings, crane way industrial buildings to process control complexes and railroad track spur reallocation.

INSTITUTIONAL CONSTRUCTION

Our Institutional Construction experience ranges from the construction of complete elementary schools and college classroom facilities, to city administration buildings, churches, recreation centers and military base expansions. We've Built them from the ground up, added additions, extensively renovated, and even demolished a few buildings along the way when required.

Past construction methods have used concrete, masonry, structural steel or wood framing and numerous projects have included basements and muti-story units. We have a professional staff, supported by computerized management information systems and scheduling programs to manage the record keeping, complete shop drawing approvals and track modifications.

Whether we have won the job through competitive bidding or negotiation , we firmly adhere to the principle that a project is not complete until the last item is complete to proper specifications.

HOUSING REDEVELOPMENT

Since 1946 we have construction apartments, but in 1981 when we completed our first major housing redevelopment for Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority, an additional emphasis was placed on major residential construction. To date, we have constructed or renovated close to 10,000 apartments and assisted living units and over 1,000 motel guest rooms. Past clients included Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority, Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and numerous private developers. Most of the motels we construct are for Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn Franchisers.
