DESIGN BUILD

SCI has a proud history of innovation and adaptability. However, there is one facet of the construction business in which we firmly believe, and that is DESIGN/BUILD.

Our own in-house engineering staff and drafting personnel are well-versed in national building codes and engineering practices. Memberships are maintained in professional organizations like National Society of Professional Engineering to keep current and up-to-date with all new codes and regulations.

Since entering the design/build field in 1971, upon the graduation of Tom Schnippel with a degree in civil engineering, projects design have included everything from concrete pits and metal buildings to muti-story motels complete with swimming pools, elevators, full ADA compliance and digital fire alarm systems.

TILT-UP CONCRETE

Tilt-up concrete systems are one of the fastest growing industries in the United States. This is due, in part, to the economics of tilt-up, which combine reasonable cost with low maintenance, durability, speed of construction, and minimal capital investment.

A successful tilt-up project begins long before concrete is poured. As with any project, the key is thorough planning. We are a experienced tilt-up contractor can be successful on a wide variety of projects.

Building walls are cast horizontally right at the construction site and are then tilted or lifted into position. Numerous interior or exterior textures,colors and finishes are available, SCI developed the use of tilt-up walls with pre-engineered metal building, are recently expanded the use of tilt-up wall panels to now be load-bearing walls for multi-floor structures like motels and apartment buildings.
